Lost Iron breaks maiden at Aqueduct
LOST IRON, a three-year-old Flatter colt, broke his maiden at Aqueduct going 1 1/8th on the inner track. He is a half to MGSW turfer Takeover Target (Harlan’s Holiday), who’s winnings total $625,935. He had a slow start from post position 1, raced initially between 2 horses, then going wide, he accelerated after the dueling leaders. He swept past the favorite to win by two lengths. He was a $190,000 sale for Kirkwood at OBS April and was purchased by owners H. Clarke, P. Braverman, A. Albstein, T. Murray & C. Robertson. He is trained by William I. Mott.
