Back on dirt here, the even-money favorite sat the trip in an inside third and was locked and loaded awaiting racing room in traffic rounding the far turn. Guided out four wide at the top of the stretch, he came with a sustained rally to get past Mumayaz (Bodemeister) for a 3/4 of a length decision.
