Two top spots for Kirkwood grads this Saturday

TOM’S READY, already graded stakes placed in the LeComte S. G3, stepped up into G2 company in the Twin Spires Louisiana Derby. He overcame a bump at the start to gain his second graded stakes placing, crossing the line in 2nd. Trained by Dallas Stewart, he is owned by GNB Racing and was bred by Blackstone Farm. He has earned over $300,000 for his connections. 

On the same day but at Parx, 5-year-old horse DUVAL annexed his 4th win, bringing his earnings close to $200,000. He is owned by Ten Strike Racing and was bred by Mark Reid & DDS Stables.

Street Surrender wins at Santa Anita

West Point’s three year old filly STREET SURRENDER overcame tight quarters to graduate sprinting at Santa Anita. Squeezing through on the rail to seize control in mid-stretch, the filly sailed to a decisive 3 1/4-length success. She was bred by Sally Thomas & New Dawn Stable and is trained by Wally Dollasse.

Clair de Lune wins at Aqueduct

Tracy Farmer’s three year old filly CLAIR DE LUNE kept her record perfect going two turns at Aqueduct.  The Chad Brown trainee went right to the lead and put away all rivals  nearing the stretch and pulled steadily clear to win by 6 1/2 lengths.  An earner of  $76,600 in 3 starts, CLAIR DE LUNE was bred by Julie Berta, Bob & Rae Horton & Charles Middleton (KY).
