Egyptian Honey adds 2nd win to record

Two year old filly EGYPTIAN HONEY broke her maiden last out at Indiana Grand. Running back at Turfway Park in allowance company, she went off the favorite and liked her prior trip to the winner’s circle so much, she won again. She waited behind horses and then swung out at the top of the lane to mow down the competition and win drawing off by 4 lengths. She is owned by Tracy Farmer, trained by Mike Maker and was bred by Mike Abraham.

Sound Effect racks up another win

SOUND EFFECT, a 6 year old gelding by Rockport Harbor, scored his 6th win today. He has earned over $213,000 lifetime. Bred in KY by Stone Farm, he has raced from coast to coast in his career. This win was at Turf Paradise. He had to wait for racing room and then cleared the field for the win.

RECEPTA continues her success at Del Mar

GSW RECEPTA recently won the Nobel Damsel S. G3 at Belmont. Switching to the west coast she ran a very game second in the Matriarch S. G1 at Del Mar. The 4 year old Speightstown filly stalked inside and then swung out for racing room. She gained the lead in the stretch and was just nipped at the wire by a late closer. She is owned by  the Phillips Racing Partnership and Pam Gartin and was bred by John W. Phillips and Hank Snowden. She has earned over $440,000.

Another stakes win for Lavender Chrissie

LAVENDER CHRISSIE, a three year old Scat Daddy filly owned by West Point Thoroughbreds and trained by Dale L. Romans, won an AOC at Keeneland this fall. Stepping back up into stakes company in the Zia Park Oaks,  she settled off the pace, improved her position down the backstretch through a half in :48.34 and reeled in the leaders down the lane before striding home an easy winner. She had her early training at Kirkwood. She has earned  $278,813 with a lifetime record of  7-4-0-0.

Bajan Beach wins at Finger Lakes

For the second time in a row, 3-year-old Speightstown filly BAJAN BEACH drew off to an easy win in allowance company at Finger Lakes. She was claimed by owner/trainer Debra A. Breed three races back. Since then she has had a second and 2 wins and so was a perspicacious claim. She has earned over $85,000 to date.
